Mike -

It is good to see confirmation of you and your family's escaping the severity of those fires in Victoria. Our prayers are with you and those less fortunate. We need to all realize, "it can happen here."

As for the AR connection, the fire news from Victoria serve to remind us of the seriousness of the threat of fire in PP that Mrs. Tyson felt, and of the damage that could have come to that whole region if Sappho had not done that job properly. I think of Squashy Hat and our friends ducking into the mine at the last minute before that fire swept over them, and then think of those in Victoria that had no mine to take refuge in, but were trying to escape in a car racing down the highway when the flames engulfed them and cremated them in their own car.

Ransome spoke of children at play with their make-believe adventures of being pirates and explorers and of expeditions to the North Pole, but there were those times that the reality of the cruel world became a significant threat in their own lives. That fire in PP, and the storm at sea with shoals nearby in WD, those were not something they were playing, but were dangers to survival itself. For them, these dangers were reality. And thanks to the skill of AR, we were there with them.

Good to have you on board, Mike.
