Quick and easy, yes, but it weakens the rope, forms a hard lump, becomes impossible to undo and requires the full length of the sheets to be pulled through when changing headsails. I'll stay with the seamanlike Dutch approach, which I've used since Des Sleightholme showed it to me, thirty years ago!
