I don't know if this will help, in 2003 my wife and I visited the Windermere Steamboat Museum and saw the model for Captain Flint's houseboat. In fact, we went on board and found the table laid for the feast after the race between the Swallow and the Amazon. I got a few good pictures too. There is even a little cannon on the foredeck, but the vessel is certainly smaller than the houseboat. As far as I know, there is no difficulty at all about going on board.
