Going back a few eons to Dan Lind's post about the Lake District - it's quite true that most of the bodies of water in that part of England are called Water, Mere, etc.; even so, they are still geographically lakes. (Sorry for the length of that sentence.) Doesn't matter what they are named, they are still lakes. I bring this up only because it is a lazy day today - a Saturday full of warm sunshine, the scent of newly-blossoming flowers and the drowsy hum of bees. The scented breeze of early summer wafts through the window even as I type. What better time than add my two cents worth to the AR site?
P.S. Sometimes I wonder just how far I can stray from the strict AR canon, but console myself with the thought that sooner or later we will stray back again.
Happy springtime to all.
