No, her timbers are correct for the design of the boat. They are broad and exactly as shown on the pictures of one built by the designer. The better boat builders use thinner and narrower planks and butt them together. I need to learn that technique - but that is a little different I assure you. A lot harder, I have seen it done in the Naut Lab next door, if I was doing that I need a steamer.

She is my first go and probably the last, I am not sure I have that much energy left.

The designer on his website says it can be built in 6 days, I spent 6 days sanding the interior. So much for time estimates.
