Hello Elizabeth, good to "hear" you again, too! Sorry you didn't swing by, but life is a madhouse here anyway --thesis research, patterns for the foundry, etc.-- so it's probably just as well.

Been thinking of last year's coroborree a lot, as my sister' Amazon-esque Sid Skiff is back up here for maintenance: full strip down to bare wood and build back up with ten coats of varnish on everything. After seventeen years, she needs it. One wonders what Swallow, Amazon, et al took for maintenance. Shellac for Amazon and white-lead paint for Swallow? What did they use before Epifanes?

I think you took the best pix of Bucephalus she's had taken in a long time. I'm not entirely sure how she'd relate to AR, though, as she's too big to count as one of the little boats, and not so large as Goblin, Teasel, etc. Maybe something like Flash? What do you think?

Back to work: I'm patterning a 35lb plow anchor to be cast in bronze.

Alex
