How words change. A couple of years ago I hired a man of African descent (!) to do some concrete work for me. During one of our conversations, he told me about a quarrel he had had with a racist. He said, "This f****** b*****" called me the n-word, I don't take that from anyone!" Only a few years earlier, he probably would have used the n-word in full and would never have said the f-word." How times change.
