At a post New Year wine and cheese gathering a couple of days ago
I mentioned TARS to an Australian visitor who had spent her childhood
in Britain. It turned out she was an avid AR reader as a girl and had
first read books loaned by her elder brother. In turn she had passed
on her knowledge of AR books to her daughter, Her elder brother then
told me that his first knowledge of AR literature came from listening
to A SERIALISATION OF WINTER HOLIDAY ON THE BBC IN ABOUT 1938-1939 !!
I wonder if any TARS member can confirm havin heard this, and whether
there is any possibility of finding a record or tape in BBC archives?? ad d
