True, and I was coming up on twice your age when I started. Teen readers have their own separate tastes, however,and seem to prefer modern or futuristic work. (The science fiction field goes through the same argument- "But I loved Heinlein's juveniles- why won't my kid touch them?") With luck, Ed's grandchildren will expand their tastes as adults, and learn to love the series as we do.
