You seem to be deliberately missing the point here ED, AC-B's objection (and apologies Andrew if I am miss-representing your point) has nothing to do with 'black' but the 'N' word. I realise that it is only relative recent times that in American English this has become unacceptable to the majority of its speakers, perhaps they would like what a USA citizen I used work with preferred - porch monkey (and I apologise for using the term in full. Why? Because the two words on their own and together are not a problem, but in context they are.)
If anyone thinks I am being provocative here I am. AC-B joined an important debate here with, what to me, were some very convincing and reasonable arguments; but things seem to have got a bit lost somewhere along the way.
