All Things Ransome now has a new section, Arthur Ransome's Boats. This section will include articles and material about Ransome's boats, both real and fictional, plus the boats owned or built by Ransome enthusiasts and which follow in the tradition of the boats Ransome owned and wrote about.
The centerpiece of the new section is Stuart Wier's The Boats of Swallows and Amazons, which was recently relocated to ATR, but our intent is a section of broader focus and content. We're hoping for research articles on the Ransome's real and fictional boats, in addition to articles and sections on existing boats.
Thanks to Robert Thompson for contributing material and photographs of his Hirondelle, to those who had previously contributed to Stuart Wier's seminal article, and (in advance) to those who have promised or have articles in preparation.
As always we enthusiastically encourage submissions for this section! There's a link in the section to contribute, or you can contact me at the e-mail address above.
