This evening's final episode of Griff Rhys Jones's BBC TV series "Rivers" was about East Anglia, and covered the Fens, the Broads and the Suffolk Stour. Coot Club got a mention, and there were eel-fishing and pike-fishing scenes.

I was called away for a few moments and came back to catch what seemed to be the tail end of a reference to some predecessors of the Hullabaloos, who were caught playing a piano at 7am instead of appreciating the tranquillity of the Broads.

There was also of course a bit about one of my favourite subjects, Cornelius Vermuyden and the drainage of the Fens, though sadly I don't think AR ever wrote about that.
