I thought it was well done also, with two exceptions. I was disappointed that the ending did not follow Ransome's notes about the Coots earning their fare home by saving the houseboat when it broke its mooring chain, but also by the owner of the Bonnka being revealed as a famous children's author. I felt that did not fit Ransome's style at all but was something more like one would expect in an Enid Blyton story.
It would be interesting to read some of the other entries in the competition.
