Peter Roche has drawn my attention to a passage in AR and Captain Flint's Trunk which clearly indicates that there were four Young boys, and Roger, the third, was present with the NRP. (pp.142-3 in the original edition, pp.154-6 in the new one) By the time I became aware of the family, Roger was not mentioned. Since James and Thomas were by then well into their eighties, perhaps he had predeceased them.
