The relative chronology of GN is less clear than that of any of the other books, other than the "made up" PD and ML. Unlike most of the others it has no references to what happened "last year" or "two years ago".

Probably it makes most sense to assume it is set the year after PM, in which case it is coming up to four years after S&A, so Roger is 11 or nearly 11.

Alternatively you could say GN happens shortly after PM, but that might make it too late in the year for GNDs to be on the nest.

The series is not entirely consistent about characters' ages. Bridget, for example, seems to grow up very fast.
