I have just watched the S&A and the S&A Forever videos. I was struck by the coincidence that two of the actors who had played Doctor Who in the television series were in The Big Six. Colin Baker was Doctor Dudgeon and Patrick Troughton was Old Harry the eel-man. Not long ago we were discussing on Tarboard any authors whom we felt may have been influenced in their writing by AR and I had mentioned Roland Pertwee, author of "The Islanders". The discussion inevitably got around to Jon Pertwee, who as I'm sure we all know, once played the part of Doctor Who.

I can't help but wonder if AR was the original TimeLord, as his books are as much loved today as I'm sure they were when he first wrote them!
