Yes,Robert, yes Samantha, you are quite right about Tom sinking the Dreadnought punt with the Teasel's mudweight but Hilary Weston's original message you have answered was not about that occasion at all!
Hilary quite rightly pointed out that in CC (Cape page 313) Tom considers using his mudweight on Breydon Water; in BS (Cape page 164) he has to tie alongside the Death and Glory because he has no mudweight.

(None of us has yet answered Hilary's question, though ....:-)
