Not sure if all of this has been covered before. I'm rereading WH and just noticed that not only was Mrs. Dixon Mrs. Callum's nurse, but she remembered Captain Flint as a lad. So was Mrs. Callum raised in the Lake District, or is there a significant age difference between CF (and by extension Mrs. Blackett) and Mrs. Callum (could go either way, as Prof. Callum would have spent several more years in University than either of the Turners and Mrs. Callum might be closer to his age, therefore the older) to allow Mrs. Dixon to have left the Lakes while she was acting as nurse to Mrs. Callum and to have returned to marry Dixon?

If Mrs. Callum was also a native of the Lake District, would she and her family have known the GA as well? She seems to have avoided mentioning any such connection in PM, but a re-established friendship might easily explain both the Ds staying at Beckfoot in PM and the Turner/Blackett oversight on construction of Scarab.
