You are welcome, Pam. The Little White Horse and The Blue Hills, to establish the relevance to AR, both show that Elizabeth Goudge is Ransome's equal in evoking locale and descriptions of nature. Linnets and Valerians is closer to him in showing how a family of children can get along and cooperate, all while exploring a new and exciting landscape.

All three books are worth finding and reading for anyone who likes A.R..
