To open the geographical debate:

I would re-order the Lakes books
Winter Holiday
The Picts and the Martyrs - It seems to me looking at the maps that Beckfoot and The Dog's Home are further north (just) than High Topps and the Gulch. Mike Field's map in particular shows Tyson's well to the south of Beckfoot.
Pigeon Post
Swallows and Amazons
Swallowdale - Again it seems to me that Horseshoe Bay and Swallowdale are further south than Wild Cat Island, granted they climb Kanchenjunga which is futher north but the main action is still around the southern side of the moors. In S&A they make an expedition to Beckfoot too.

As for WDMTGTS and Secret Water, most of the voyage across the North Sea is south and east which would put SW north of WD.

Finally southern China is about the same latitude as the north coast of Cuba which is a lot north of where Ransome indicates Crab Island is located on the PD map.

So my N to S list would be:
Great Northern
Winter Holiday
The Picts and the Martyrs
Pigeon Post
Swallows and Amazons
Swallowdale
Big Six
Coot Club
Secret Water
We Didn't Mean to Go To Sea
Missee Lee
Peter Duck
