Sunnier day than we were there about four weeks ago. Although the secret harbour on Peel Island is pure Wild Cat, I found that the rest of the island didn't match up at all to Ransome's description or illustrations being too small and too steep. Wasn't Blake Holme on Windermere suggested as another origin for Wild Cat with the harbour tacked on for good measure?
