I wonder if AR ever came across George Formby? The latter was a keen boater in the northern waters. He used to moor in Windboats yard at Whroxham and paddle off in a dinghy for the papers and milk - disappearing for ages, apparently, to the chagrin of wife Beryl. Perhaps he was planning adventures with the boys in the cabin of the Death or Glory! Wonder if Roys sold ukulele strings?
