That film is two different species - first a peregrine falcon in the open, then a goshawk through the trees. I've seen the goshawk clip, or one very like it, before. I think it was on Springwatch a couple of years ago.

I think the point is that the goshawk is the only British bird of prey that can fly between trees like that. So the scene in the book is not implausible if the hawk wasn't a goshawk.
