Thank you, Rob. That is a very generous offer. I probably will not be over this year due to house repairs, but I am hopeful for next year.
When my London friend and I were there in 2009, we had made inexpensive in advance reservations at the Travel Lodge south of Kendal. That seemed like a mistake after we arrived, due to there being no southbound motorway access, adding lots of miles south to the next interchange, and then going back. However, we found that the back access gate for employees was never closed, and we always managed to sneak back in, after following country roads back from the lakes.
