John's analysis is faulty in that he uses the commonly abbreviated title "Picts and Martyrs" when the book is actually titled "The Picts and the Martyrs".
Also his original title for S&A was "The Swallows and the Amazons" as that was the way that ships' crews were referred to in the Navy.
