I'd broadly agree with Tim's ratings, though I missed Christina on Friday night, so for me Wayne would be top. I'd also put Libby Purves a bit higher - say at 4, partly for a wonderful off the cuff quote - "Sailing's bad enough even if you like it."
Still can't be too sure whether she's read AR, though can't believe she hasn't.
Interestingly the anti-heroine of her new book Regatta (about kids in boats) is a black, anti-boating (hence the above quote) girl called Anansi. Hmm, makes you think....
Incidentally, she (LP) has donated a copy of the book as a prize in the Nancy Blackett raffle,and there's still time (to end Sept) to buy tickets. Just ask for details...
