Jock, they're modern water-flush WCs where the water tank is immediately above, and coupled to, the pan -- as distinct from earlier 'high-level cistern' WCs as in the picture, where the tank was up high on the wall, connected to the pan only by a pipe, and was flushed by 'pulling the chain'.
All the WCs shown on the page at the link are close-coupled.
