Richard Woodman is a member of TARS (or was until recently)- he organised the Nancy Blackett/Peter Duck race in 1994, so his reference to that awful man Ransome is tongue-in-cheek I'd imagine. Jolly good author, and now very involved with the Shtandart project which was what Greg Palmer was working on at the time of his death.
