This observation is completely off-topic - I'll post it anyway.
It strikes me the Downton Abbey might well attract a legion of admirers as AR's works have done. Perhaps already people have begun to piece together events from the episodes, such as who might have bought the record for "Look for the Silver Lining" they played on the gramophone when Matthew was dancing with Lady Mary. My bet is Lady Edith bought it. One objection I have is the use of the word "pregnant". No one in upper class England at that time would have used that word. Now back to reality. . .
