Have just seen that there appears to be a holiday cottage next to / within the grounds of Belle Grange. Now all I have to do is persuade my wife that that's where we should go on holiday, and I might be able to do some detective work on this theory! (It looks very nice, if anybody else is planning a Lakes trip, I'm sure you could do worse)
