Slightly off AR topic, I was surprised to see The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas in the first 10.
On a simple level, to regard a book only published in the last 10 years a 'classic' I feel is a bit premature. More importantly, it is a very poor book. Credit to the author to try and communicate such an evil event to children (the Holocaust) but fails dismally in its plot and approach. Turning the events of the Holocaust in to works of fiction is difficult, and I admit that I am one of many who believe that it is better served by testimony.
