About a year ago All Things Ransome, the association that runs the All Things Ransome and TarBoard websites held the first appeal for funding and we were very gratified by the rapid and generous response and all the kind messages that you sent. The time has come for another appeal to your generosity.

Our accounts are published on the All Things Ransome website; we need to keep a total of $200 in our bank accounts to avoid any fees which leaves us with less than $50 for any unplanned events in addition to nearly $250 in normal running expenses.

One such event nearly occurred recently when a major homeschooling support organization placed a link on their website to Ransome's Nature Books for Children, these are some of his early writings which we have in facsimile PDF files on the All Things Ransome site. As Ransome is very popular with the homeschooling community (and the PDFs are very large), we experienced a large number of downloads which caused us to nearly exceed our monthly bandwidth limit. We considered whether to increase our limit, as this distribution of Ransome material is exactly why we have the All Things Ransome site, but that would have cost us more than we had in the bank. We ended up slightly reducing the quality of the PDF documents so that they were smaller files. However, this has highlighted the possibility that we may need additional funds at any time, and as we have to make an appeal before we can renew our hosting agreement next year in any case, we decided that we would ask for your financial help now.

To donate, please click here. The process uses PayPal but you can donate by credit card without signing up for a PayPal account. Although you have to enter some personal information (Name, address, phone number and email), this is to confirm your credit card information to PayPal. All Things Ransome does not see all your personal details and we will not keep any of your personal information once we have confirmed your donation.
