I seem to remember that Kit Seymour had a strong North Country (?) accent, so all of her lines were redubbed later by someone else. I don't recall a mention of who the 'someone else' was but perhaps someone with a more schooled and 'standard' English accent than the rest of the cast (children, that is) would have necessarily displayed at their ages?
