Following the rather disappointing BBC coverage of the river pageant last week, which provided little or no information about the participating craft, I thought I'd try and find some real info.

There is an official web-site, and this is the link to the boat section. There are boats here from 1740 to the present day, with potted histories and descriptions. AR would have enjoyed it, I hope you like it to:

All I want to do now is track down what the semaphore signal was, that was sent from the roof of the Festival Hall to Her majesty. We wern't told, and I didn't have a Nancy sitting on the sofa to translate!
