My son Charles aged ten is in bed with a cough and is three quarters of the way through Pigeon Post and asked me "Which comes next?"
I pulled out "The Picts and The Martyrs", rather than WDMTGTS and Secret Water, on the grounds that "that tramp" turns up in it again, as does Slater Bob.
He is rather fascinated with the idea that "the real Roger" invented his athsma inhaler.
