Just returned from a trip to Wild Cat - making the most of this fine autumn weather. Instead of a fortress of solitude, where I can dream of cheese (toasted, mostly), I found it full of young savages and six canoes in the harbour!
Can any Coots tell me the location of a pub in the Southern Waters which is reached only by boat? Wife reckons there was such a place when she went boating on the Broads in the fifties. No electric lighting... and a landlady who couldn't add up. She simply held out a handful of coins and drinkers took their own change.
Also, any recommendations for a sailing computer game? Nothing too complicated: a bit of tacking, etc. on a virtual pond will do nicely thank you for the wintry evenings ahead!
