I know this is a bit of a Rogerish question

Which brings to mind AR's characterisation of the real Roger, Roger Altounian. He first wrote him into the stories when he was very young, and teased him for his love of engines... So it's remarkable that Roger went on to become a flying instructor during the war. And of course became a drug researcher at Fison's and developed Intal. Remarkable prescience by AR.
