I was surprised this evening to see a version of Steven Spurrier's map of the lake used in a most unexpected context, in the CBCC drama 'The Sparticle Mystery'.
The geography has been moved around a bit in an appropriately Ransome-ish fashion (Rio is replaced by a copy-and-paste of the mouth of the Amazon river), plus new place-names.
The programme is on the BBC iPlayer until 18 Oct. The map is at the 25 minute mark.
