In WH chapter 8 “Lost Leader” which is probably on 16 January, Peggy says “the day after tomorrow is the last day” of the holidays, although they soon find out that they all (not just Nancy) have a whole month or 28 days extra. So Christmas holidays are until about mid-January, unlike here (New Zealand) where they go to the end of January. Combined with public holidays for Xmas and the new year, although regular comments are that the long summer school break should be postponed to February which is often hotter and summerier than January.
