The invitation to join in a communal gloat over our book collections is irresistible... Green hardbacks naturally, in varying condition, and I'm also fond of the Penguin editions that featured AR illustrations on the covers. A first edition of the Brogan biography picked up in Windermere (I did have a First of the autobiography too) but sacrificed it for the good of the Nancy Blackett.) I always lurk in the remaining secondhand bookshops - once found a nice Racundra for £2.50 when the long-gone one in Farnham had its annual half-price sale. It's something to do with the thrill of the chase. My most recent triumph, a couple of years ago now, was when one of the local charity shops had half-a-dozen greenbacks on offer for £2 each - all looked as if they were in better condition than my existing copies, so I bought them all, took them home and parked them on a shelf. It was only some time later that I discovered I'd bagged a Clifford Webb Swallowdale
