The 1st edition of SA in 1930 was bound in "steel blue cloth", as was the "new illustrated edition" in 1931. The 1st edition of SD (1931) was also bound in blue. However, the 1st edition of PD in 1932 was bound in the familiar dark green. The above applies to the UK only - American editions differed.

When the later printings of SA went over to dark green cloth, I don't know, but the 1938 printing (the first with AR's illustrations) was in dark green.
