Well, not to worry, I did find it mildly amusing for a couple of minutes. Sounds to me just like the sort of thing one of The Goons would do!
However, I must apologise to Rachel for making fun of what could have been a perfectly innocent typo. I just found the image of A.R. having to lie down was too deliciously funny to let go without comment. Actually, I think the idea is so funny because A.R. strikes me as exactly the opposite of a person who imbibes too much and has to lie down. I always think of him as a terribly proper and crusty but loveable old uncle. I get the impression that Captain Flint is portrayed as A.R. himself would have liked to be seen by the children he was writing about. Anyone else have any ideas on the subject?
