Liverpool Central Library has been rebuilt and it re-opened today. A leading attraction is the new granite walkway at the entrance - this has the names of iconic books, films and TV shows engraved in it. I am glad to say that, with the active encouragement of the Arthur Ransome Trust (ART), the title "Swallows and Amazons" has been included, as it should be - see links to photos below.
I do not know why the 'n' in 'Amazons' is red, but then this is Liverpool . . . Anyway, the motto of ART is 'Putting Ransome on the Map' but on this occasion ART has helped put him on the pavement!
