I doubt HMS Seahawk will close in the near future. As well as the Search and Rescue Squadron, with which incidentally I spent a very interesting week in 2001, it is the home of the Royal Navy's Merlin helicopter fleet and the remaining anti-submarine Sea Kings.

The most recent HMS Swallow was a patrol craft commissioned as part of the Hong Kong patrol squadron in 1984. In common with the remainder of the class her tenure on that station was brief as HK was handed back to the chinese. HMS Swallow was sold to the Irish Republic and became El Ciara in 1988.
