Having done the temporary changes, I'm now going to make a more permanent fix.
For what it's worth, having just verified and posted a smallish article at ~2038 European time on 9/8/13, it logged on at lightning speed, more instantly than it has done for ages. First impulse is to say 'Well done!'
It's done the same for this message. Very lively response.
