A note to remind y'all that the full text of The Cruise of the Alerte is available on the TARS website, as are The Falcon on the Baltic (Ransome wrote that this was easily Knight's best book) and Sailing (see WDMTGTS and PM). These will be joined by 'Small Boat Sailing' Real Soon Now (Scanning of diagrams not yet complete).
I've recently been reading (or trying to read ) EFK's novel 'A Desperate Voyage': it doesn't show him at his best, I'm afraid.
