Fascinating stuff. I never made the connection between Cymru and Cumbria before! (For those less familiar with Welsh, Cymru is pronounced Cumree).

I recognise some of the numbers from my attempts to study Cornish, many years ago, and of course Welsh is similar.

This link is to the lyrics of a song by Jake Thakray, about an old Yorkshire shepherdess counting her sheep. I think the words are spelled phonetically. they are a little different to the ones listed by Ed.
It's a great, atmospheric song, not at all like his usual fare.

I remember when he introduced the song he recited all the numbers up to 10, in the song he just sings the first 5.
