When I first came to the Lakes four years ago after reading SA. I walked down to Peel Island and was surprised to discover two girls dressed and acting just like Nancy and Peggy. I later saw them leaving Peel Island in a Hurry and jumping aboard a sailing dinghy identical to the description of Amazon. They shot off in the direction of Coniston. The next year I came across them again, but this time at Bank Ground Farm on the landing stage where "Nancy" was laying down on the landing stage reading a book and "Peggy" was the other side of the boathouses, skimming stones across the water.
Has anybody else seen these two? Who are they? Are they TARS members involved in some sort of Lakeland Publicity stunt? I know from the Mixed Moss entries that it has been reported seeing "Amazon" moored in Secret Harbour. Could these girls be responsibble?
