From Pernambuco? Wasn't that where, on a hillside, he and Timothy decided that wild geese indeed lay no eggs. In those days, I suspect that Brazil was an awful lot further away than it is now. I guess that Timothy came back in part to prospect, but in main to negotiate with the site owners. And he can't have had much time before the action started.
