I don't recall property rights being too much of an issue in the Fell Farm books- other than a concern in Fell Farm Campers that the outsiders were carelessly knocking down dry-stone walls.

No Boats on Bannermere, however, was primarily about property and who owned it- the reason for the title was that the local 'squire' owned the land about the lake, and didn't allow anyone to cross it with a boat. Even the finding of the treasure is wrapped up in who owns what.
